NATALIA JIMENEZ, CREO EN MI AND RECUERDAME | THE MEXICAN DIVA

(Part 2 of 2)

natalia jimenez creo en mi

After the outburst that we talked about in the 1st part: La Quinta Estacion El Sol No Regresa (The Sun Doesn’t Come Back), the band achieved their greatest success in 2006 and Natalia Jimenez began her diva path, singing a duet with Marc Anthony, Recuerdame (Remember me). A full-fledged Trembol.

The group breaks up and she starts her solo career that will raise her to the Mexican diva status. Her Top 1 hit of Natalia Jimenez Creo en mi has more than 200 million views in YouTube.

La Quinta Estacion THIRD ALBUM | El Mundo Se Equivoca (The World is Wrong)

| The album was released in Mexico, Spain and United States in 2006, being awarded with platinum albums (> 100.000 records sold) in every market.

| Natalia, whose voice has already acquired maturity and bouquet, reaches the next level in this record, with astonishing ballads like the hit from La Quinta Estacion Me Muero (I Die For), Sueños Rotos (Broken Dreams) or Asi Eres (You’re Like That). We’ve selected this last song for you, even though it’s less known, it’s our favourite.

| The band described the record like this: “This album has been a little more sentimental; We are talking much more about affections and things that we have been experiencing here in Mexico”.

La Quinta Estacion Me Muero and other great tunes from the album

1. The quintessential ballad of La Quinta Estacion, “Me Muero (I Die For)”. Written by Natalia while cleaning the house 🙂

2. “Que fui para ti (That i was for you)” is another little treasure from this album. We’ve selected a live version, enjoy it!

3. And to cheer us up, a tune with mariachi spirit. A band trademark that we love: “Tu Peor Error (Your Worst Mistake)”.

It’s an essential record, that caused a shift in Spanish music. Below you’ll find Amazon e iTunes links.

La Quinta Estacion FOURTH AND LAST ALBUM | Sin Frenos (Without Brakes)

| Just before they released their last album in 2009, one of the three members left the band (Pablo Dominguez), due to some discrepancies, that made Natalia say: “We don’t give a damn what he does”; and Angel Reyero (band guitarist): “La Quinta Estacion works better without him”.

| The single ‘Que Te Queria (That I Loved You)’, is a great song that reached the Top 1 in Mexico, Spain, and Latin charts in United States (links to buy below).

| Still, there was an even more successful song, the Trembol that we introduce hereinafter.

The Mexican Diva | La Quinta Estacion and Marc Anthony | Recuerdame (Remember me)

Trembol | How has Natalia Jimenez become a Mexican diva?

The song with Marc Anthony, is one of those great ballads, with 2 out of the ordinary voices. It is impressive to see the evolution in Natalia’s voice, which was already noticeable since “El Sol No Regresa (The Sun Doesn’t Come Back)”, that we discovered in the 1st part of La Quinta Estacion.

If Natalia Jimenez already had a legion of fans in Latin America thanks to La Quinta Estacion (The Fifth Station), with this song and her solo career, she has established herself as a diva, performing duets with great artists such as: Carlos Rivera, Juan Gabriel, Ricky Martin and more recently, Daddy Yankee or Maluma.

Natalia Jimenez solo career discography (until 2020) includes 4 albums, of which, the last 2 are totally dedicated to Mexico: Homenaje a la Gran Señora [Tribute to the Great Lady] (tribute to the late Jenni Rivero) and Mexico de mi corazon (Mexico in my heart).

Natalia Jimenez greatest hit is Creo en mi, which we will introduce later. It has more than 233 million views. I said, a true Mexican diva.

Natalia Jimenez explained what she felt when the band split:

|

|

The worst part of my professional career was when I had to leave the band, because it is something I didn’t want to do, but I was forced to accept the dissolution of the group.

You can’t miss ⭐️ The best parts of Recuerdame

1. The second time Natalia sings, she starts rising the tone, so does Marc Anthony, both create a great tension before the chorus.

2. Listen to the voices in unison in the second chorus. You can feel the despair the song deeply emanates in their voices. Full of emotion.

3. Natalia goes crazy high in this part. Do you know what note she reaches? In the Technical Note section we unveil it, you’ll see.

Spanish Lyrics

LYRICS LA QUINTA ESTACION AND MARC ANTHONY | RECUERDAME | SPANISH

Atándome a tu vida

Atándome a tu vida

Atándome a tu vida

Lyrics in English

LYRICS LA QUINTA ESTACION AND MARC ANTHONY | RECUERDAME | ENGLISH

Remember me when you sleep, and I guess what you dream
When away from our bed it would be me who you think of
Remember me

Remember me when I leave and don’t come back to our house
When cold and sadness melt and hug you
Remember me

Remember me when you look into the eyes of the past
When I no longer dawn in your arms
When you are invisible to me, to me

Remember me loving you
Looking into your eyes
Tying me to your life

Remember me loving you
Waiting for you calm
Without hard feelings, with no measure

Remember me, remember me
That my soul was tattooed on your skin

Remember me when you feel your soul is restless
If desire and your love don’t warm me
Remember me

Remember me
When you look into the eyes of the past
When I no longer dawn in your arms
When you are invisible to me, to me

Remember me loving you
Looking into your eyes
Tying me to your life

Remember me loving you
Waiting for me calm
Without hard feelings, with no measure

Remember me, remember me
That my soul is tattooed on your skin

Remember me loving you
Looking into your eyes
Tying me to your life

Remember me, remember me
That my soul is tattooed on your skin

How does Trembol write the lyrics, translation and meaning or story behind?

Translations in Trembol are handmade with a lot of care and love, because we want to explain you the real meaning of the song and the story behind it, with the author words and in different languages. For this reason, we do not use automatic translators, which translate word by word, without understanding the background of the lyrics. In Trembol we believe in emotions and spreading music, that is why we also translate manually all lyrics to English, like this tune from La Quinta Estacion and Marc Anthony, Recuerdame (Remember me). Click on the box of the language you want to see, and it will open. If your screen is large enough (typically a PC) you will be able to view the two lyrics in parallel, the original and the Spanish translation at the same time. Cool, isn’t it!
