AIMÉE Daisy Chains | With the conviction of a nineties diva
Rising Irish artist Aimée has carved out a niche for herself in the music scene with her nods to 90s pop, of which she is a huge fan. The singer has dominated the Irish radio charts since the release of her debut single in 2018. Now she ratifies it with her new EP ‘Daisy Chains’.
Who is Aimée?
Aimée grew up in Dublin listening to every vocal filigree, every empowering lyric and every pure pop tune that Aguilera, Spears and their peers threw out, with only one dream: to be a pop star.
There was never a plan B.
Adopting the early 90s production style of Max Martin, but marrying this with a love for current artists, Aimée began work on her solo material in early 2018, with a superb run of tracks that would reach the Irish Top 40 – Don’t Bother, Break Me, Don’t Call Me Pretty and I’m Ok.
Her debut EP, ‘Confessions’, released in 2020, rocketed to number one on the iTunes Pop Album Chart mostly thanks to the track, ‘Naked’.
- Her debut headlining concert came at Dublin’s sold-out The Grand Social.
Aimée’s next single, ‘Bulletproof‘, written against online stalkers, proved she was a committed voice, something she would corroborate on the cover of The Cranberries ‘Dreams‘, alongside Irish Women In Harmony, an ensemble of Irish female voices fighting for their equal rights in a predominantly male industry.
In 2021 Aimée would return with the single ‘Shut Up & Dance‘, featuring DJ Sonny Alven. It was followed by ‘Only a Woman’, ‘From the Heart’, ‘Just a Phase’, ‘Linger’ and ‘Nobody Else’.
2023 was also a big year with Aimée continuing to grow her fan base as she released ‘Hurt Like Hell’, ‘See You There’ and one of our favorites, the Christmas one, ‘Grafton Street Light‘ 🎄
We come to 2024, the year Aimée releases her second EP, ‘Daisy Chains (The Summer EP)‘.
There’s romance, heartbreak, friends, family, sunshine… and a few of those dependable Irish rain showers!

Daisy Chains | New Aimée EP
The most played female artist on Irish radio presents ‘Daisy Chains (The Summer EP)’, a collection of 6 songs written from the heart, perfect for every moment of summer.
- The title track, ‘Daisy Chains 🌻’ is the Emotion of the Week.
- The song offers a trip down memory lane to those carefree childhood summers with your best friend, making daisy necklaces and pinky promises.
The album follows with 2 good songs: ‘Runaway’ and ‘Sun-Kissed’, but ‘Skinny Dipping’ stands out even more, with a 90’s vibe it invites us to let ourselves go on a crazy summer night.
‘Daisy Chains’ turns more serious on ‘Passenger Seat’, a precious tribute to her mother, who passed away in 2018 from cancer, and their unforgettable chats while driving together 🚙.
For me, it wouldn’t have been authentic to create a summer memory album without including the person who made all of my summer memories so special, my mum.
The EP ends with ’99’s On the Beach’, the song from summers at the beach with grandparents when we were little – such beautiful memories!
The EP marks a very important milestone in Aimée’s career as it is her first major release as an independent artist.
Aimée faces the future with a clear determination, to create empowered pop, uncompromising and tinged with nostalgia, when we need it most.
Video | Aimée Daisy Chains
The video is very special as the protagonists are Aimée’s niece and little cousin who are great friends. They both recreate Aimée’s childhood summers with her best friend.
Aimée 'Daisy Chains' Lyrics
I remember
Used to feel that summer’s gonna last forever
The first thing on my mind
Before the sun would hit my face
I’d be at your door, you’re comin’ out to play
Still feel the breeze
Ripple through my hair, blood on my knees
I used to be so scared
Now the scares, they still remind me
Of summers making daisy chains with you
Did you become all the things that you wanted to be
Or did he break your heart?
2003, just you, me, and the stars
When I think of summer, I’m not thinkin’ ’bout a lover
Remember when the lights came on and we would run for cover
Still wonder if you feel the same
Do you remember makin’ daisy chains with me? (Me)wish I could go back in time, I miss you more than ever
(Ha, ha, ha) the pinky promises we made got lost as we got older
(Ha, ha, ha) just take me back to summer rain
In the garden making daisy (ha, ha, ha) chains with you (you)
All your secrets
Still hold them in my chest ’cause they’re for keeps
I hope you don’t forget
Even though we’re different people
I’d still walk the long way home with you
Did you become all the things that you wanted to be
Or did he break your heart?
2003, just you, me, and the stars
When I think of summer, I’m not thinkin’ ’bout a lover
Remember when the lights came on and we would run for cover
Still wonder if you feel the same
Do you remember makin’ daisy chains with me? (Me)wish I could go back in time, I miss you more than ever
(Ha, ha, ha) the pinky promises we made got lost as we got older
(Ha, ha, ha) just take me back to summer rain
In the garden making daisy (ha, ha, ha) chains with youWish I could go right back to that summer rain
Wish I could go right back to makin’ daisy chains
Wish I could go right back to that summer with you
When I think of summer, I’m not thinkin’ ’bout a lover
Remember when the lights came on and we would run for cover
Still wonder if you feel the same
Do you remember makin’ daisy chains with me?
Oh (ha, ha, ha), wish I could go back in time, I miss you more than ever
Ooh, oh (ha, ha, ha), the pinky promises we made got lost as we got older
Ha (ha, ha, ha) just take me back to summer rain
In the garden making daisy chains with youWish I could go right back to that summer rain
Wish I could go right back to makin’ daisy chains
Ripple through my hair, blood on my knees
Aunque seamos personas diferentes
