Manuel Turizo wanted to come back to the sounds he heard at home as a child, the romanticism of the bachatas he listened to with his father and brother, also musicians. That’s how he decided to compose several songs with that musical style. The first one he has released is ‘La Bachata‘, which has become a worldwide hit.

La Bachata is a romantic theme, of longing for a love that is no longer there:

The song develops a story that starts with Manuel asking the girl to come back to him, but ends up reproaching her for what he did to her (cheating 👿) and telling her that he is not forgiving her.

Manuel Turizo’s path in music | Brief biography
Manuel Turizo Zapata was born in Colombia in 2000, the same name of his new album, ‘2000‘.
In the bosom of a family of musicians, since he was 4 years old he started with the guitar and the microphone.
His brother Julian, 3 years older than him, felt the pull of music earlier than Manuel, but at the age of 12 would get into singing lessons. From then on he would start writing songs, mostly in class, while his teacher would dictate ✍️
Together with his brother he would write in 2016 the song ‘Una Lady como tú‘ with which he would reach international fame and more than 1.6 billion views on YouTube.
Since then his career has only grown until he released ‘La Bachata‘, which has conquered the world.
I wanted to try something different in music and in my career. I didn’t want to slack off, to keep myself in a fresh rhythm, but I wanted a different approach. This bachata is something new, but not alien to me.
