TWINNIE Blue Hour (After Dark) | A painful yet cathartic experience
A new era is beginning for British country-pop artist Twinnie. She has moved from London to Nashville, leaving behind a 10-year relationship that didn’t end well with her partner. Now, in the birthplace of country, she has given shape to her best work to date, ‘Blue Hour (After Dark)‘.
‘Lonely Long’. The Emotion of the Week
‘Blue Hour (After Dark)‘ is a short album (6 songs), made to heal a broken heart. The whole EP was like a rollercoaster for Twinnie who was heartbroken after breaking up with her partner. One year later, in 2023, thanks to this bunch of songs, she feels happier than ever.
- The best example of this feeling is ‘Lonely Long‘, which reflects a complete sense of freedom.
Twinnie defined it as wild, sensual and empowering. Like a gypsy, heartbroken, dancing under the stars and finding herself again 💃🏼
All these songs were born out of something that hurt me. This EP is straight from my heart to yours. It was in the early hours where these words came and I was able to articulate what I was feeling. Obviously, I hope you like it but I think of all the songs I’ve ever released this body of work is my best. I hope you find healing in it just like I did

Who is Twinnie? | Brief biography
Twinnie, whose full name is Twinnie-Lee Moore, was born in York, UK in 1987.
- From a gypsy background, she learned early on what it meant to feel marginalised and how music could transcend stereotypes.
Twinnie began her career in musical theatre. Her first play was ‘Velma Kelly’, after which came roles in musicals such as Chicago, Flashdance and Rock of Ages. She also had roles in films such as ‘The Wife‘ and ‘Ironclad: Battle for Blood‘, and on television in the series ‘Doctors‘ and ‘Hollyoaks‘.
But Twinnie was more drawn to songwriting, so in 2015 she self-released her first single, ‘Cool’. A country-pop track that would kick-start her musical career.
- In 2016, she would release an EP of the same name and two years later, another EP titled ‘Better When I’m Drunk‘, which made her known to a wider audience.
- The EP’s title track reached number 1 in the UK country chart, laying the foundations for later success.
Her debut album, ‘Hollywood Gypsy‘, was released in 2020 followed by a sold-out UK tour.
In 2022, Twinnie released a new EP, ‘Welcome to the Club‘, accompanied by a short film that chronicles her mental health journey. Something Twinnie is very committed to, so much so that she has set up a non-profit organisation known as ‘I Know A Woman‘, to promote mental health rights.
In 2023, after breaking up with her boyfriend, Twinnie would move to Nashville, Tennessee, making her debut at the temple of country music, the Grand Ole Opry, and releasing her best EP to date, ‘Blue Hour (After Dark)’.
- To celebrate the success, Twinnie would also release a Christmas album called ‘Blue Christmas’ 🎄
Blue Hour (After Dark) | Twinnie’s best album
Twinnie bares her soul on her latest EP composed entirely by her. This Romani leads the next wave of British artists to move into country music.
Blue Hour is made up of 6 great songs:
- Lonely Long: The Emotion of the Week.
- Sad Boy: Twinnie wants girls who have been hurt to shout this song with her at her concerts.
- Just Like Earle: A somewhat psychotic song where murder is allowed.
- Bad Man: A lyrical explanation of Twinnie’s life.
- Blue Hour: Blue hour is a time of day that occurs twice: at sunset and just after sunrise. A very original concept to describe a break-up.
- The Way I Loved You: The song describes grieving for someone.
This is just the beginning for the singer/songwriter, who has a bright future ahead of her, and as she says, music is everything to her:
I think music is the biggest healer there is and the universal language we all speak. I want to encourage people to feel free to stand up for what they believe in, including themselves.

Twinnie 'Lonely Long' Lyrics
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
If you’re really sayin’ goodbye
Make sure that you mean it
Before you start walkin’ away
Make sure that you’re leavin’
You can’t say you’re sorry
No, that won’t work
There’s no comin’ back
When it’s o-over
’cause i’ll be goin’ out tomorrow night
And i’ll put my red dress on
No, my heart won’t break and my tears won’t cry
And i won’t be lonely long
No, i won’t be lonelyNo, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely long
No, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely long
I’ll bе dancin’ under neon lights
Flirtin’ with my freedom
Won’t evеn need a drink to forget you
If leavin’s what you’re feelin’
’cause i’ll be goin’ out tomorrow night
And i’ll put my red dress on
No, my heart won’t break and my tears won’t cry
And i won’t be lonely long
No, i won’t be lonelyNo, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely long
No, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely long’cause i’ll be goin’ out tomorrow night

Twinnie 'Lonely Long' Lyrics in Spanish
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Y me pondré mi vestido rojo
No, mi corazón no se romperá y mis lágrimas no llorarán
Y no estaré sola mucho tiempo
No, no estaré solaNo, no estaré sola
No, no estaré solo
No, no estaré solo mucho tiempo
No, no me sentiré solo
No, no estaré solo
No, no me sentiré solo
No, no estaré solo mucho tiempo
Bailaré bajo luces de neón
Coqueteando con mi libertad
Ni siquiera necesitas un trago para olvidar
Si irte es lo que sientes
Porque voy a salir mañana por la noche
Y me pondré mi vestido rojo
No, mi corazón no se romperá y mis lágrimas no llorarán
Y no estaré sola mucho tiempo
No, no estaré solaNo, no estaré sola
No, no estaré solo
No, no estaré solo mucho tiempo
No, no me sentiré solo
No, no estaré solo
No, no me sentiré solo
No, no estaré solo mucho tiempoPorque saldré mañana por la noche
Y me pondré mi vestido rojo
No, mi corazón no se romperá y mis lágrimas no llorarán
Y no estaré sola mucho tiempoOoh-ooh, ooh-ohh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-ohhhh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-ohhhh
No voy a estar solo mucho tiempoNo, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely
No, i won’t be lonely long
No, no me sentiré solo
No, no estaré solo
No, no me sentiré solo
No, no estaré solo mucho tiempo
