AnnaLisa Sinceramente

ANNALISA Sinceramente | Would have won Eurovision

The Italian artist Annalisa entered in 2024 the San Remo festival to go to Eurovision. She didn’t make it but her song ‘Sincerely‘ didn’t need the contest to become a hit in Europe.

Who is Annalisa?

Annalisa is an Italian singer-songwriter who became known after participating in 2010 in a talent contest in Italy(Amici di Maria De Filippi). Only a year after that she would release her debut album ‘Nali’, in 2012 her second album ‘Metre tutto cambia’ and in 2013 ‘Non so ballare’.

In 2014 she would start writing her own songs, something that would be reflected in her following albums: Splende (2015), Se avessi un cuore (2016), Bye Bye Bye (2018) and Nuda (2020). With them Annalisa would accumulate 33 Platinum and 13 Gold records.

2022 would be Annalisa’s year, first with the summer hit ‘Tropicana’, together with Boomdabash, and then with her eighth album ‘E poi siamo finiti nel vortice’, packed with hits.

  • Her single ‘Sinceramente (Sincerely)’, the Emotion of the Week, deserves a special mention.

According to Forbes, Annalisa is among the 100 most successful Italian people, in addition to being one of the most listened to women on Spotify in Italy and being in the top 10 of the most listened singles on the Italian Fimi/Gfk list.

Annalisa Sinceramente | Meaning of the song

Annalisa is a great fan of the Sanremo Song Festival, the most important in Italy, which opens the doors to its winner to Eurovision 🤩, so she has participated many times.

  • In 2013 she did it with a song entitled ‘Scintille’, coming ninth, in 2015 with ‘Una finestra tra le stelle’, in 2016 with ‘Il diluvio universale’, in 2018 she came third with ‘Il mondo prima di te’.
  • In 2021 she would return with ‘Dieci’ and finally in 2024 with ‘Sinceramente (Sincerely)’ repeating in the third position of the festival.

The song, written by the singer herself and critically acclaimed, has taken on a life of its own, managing to sneak into the top of the European charts.

Sinceramente‘ talks about the importance of authenticity and the courage to be yourself, perhaps that’s why it has hooked so much with the public.

With an electro-pop beat, the track, in Annalisa’s words, is about a strong woman who claims her right to be free: free to take herself seriously and also to be joyful, ambitious, to express herself, to cry, to joke, to complain, to rejoice, without being judged, indeed, understood and respected.

Freedom is the greatest possible declaration of love. Because if I am free, I am ‘sincerely yours’.

This new dancefloor anthem already has a French version, a remix by Bob Sinclair and soon a Spanish version. Will there be an English version too?

It is a song about the freedom to be: in every manifestation, in every step of life, in every mood. Free even to complain and be understood, instead of being judged or considered hysterical. It is a reflection that was born one night when I did not sleep, as often happens to me, and I had the urge to say, to tell. I felt the need to be understood, welcomed, listened to without prejudice.

Annalisa E POI SIAMO FINITE NEL VORTICE | New album

E POI SIAMO FINITE NEL VORTICE (And then we end up in the vortex)‘, Annalisa’s eighth studio album, is packed with hits. The record has already become the Italian’s most listened to 🎧.

The album revolves around freedom, something Annalisa has always been looking for, especially in love. She finally found it in Francesco Muglia, whom she married in 2023.

Among the most outstanding songs are:

  • Bellissima (Beautiful): the song speaks of a disappointment and the freedom to share a failure without filters. Failure is normal, it happens to all of us, the important thing is to start over.
  • Mon Amour (My Love): It reclaims the freedom to love whoever you want and to find yourself through this process.
  • Ragazza Sola (Girl Alone): It is about the freedom of being alone and learning to do so, because only in this way can you truly be in the world and with others.
  • Euphoria: Euphoria is the freedom to throw yourself into something without thinking too much, without making plans.
  • Indaco Violento (Violent Indigo): For us, the album’s top track. A huge track that speaks of an unstoppable attraction.

The Italian star shines more than ever, so in Trembol we will follow her course attentively 🧭

Annalisa 'Sinceramente' Original Lyrics

Come morire
Ma non capita

Sinceramente quando quando quando quando piango
Anche se a volte mi nascondo
Non mi sogno di tagliarmi le vene
Sto tremando sto tremando
Sto facendo un passo avanti e uno indietro
Di nuovo sotto un treno
E mi piace quando quando quando quando piango
E anche se poi cadesse il mondo
Non mi sogno di morire di sete
Sto tremando sto tremando
Sto lasciando dei chiari di luna indietro
E tu non sei leggero
Sinceramente

Sinceramente
Sinceramente
Sinceramente
Tua

Solo tu
Tu spegni sigarette su velluto blu
Mi lasci sprofondare prima
E dopo su
Appena mi riprendo
Ti lascio un messaggio
Adesso

Sinceramente quando quando quando quando piango
Anche se a volte mi nascondo
Non mi sogno di tagliarmi le vene
Sto tremando sto tremando
Sto facendo un passo avanti e uno indietro
Di nuovo sotto un treno
E mi piace quando quando quando quando piango
E anche se poi cadesse il mondo
Non mi sogno di morire di sete
Sto tremando sto tremando
Sto lasciando dei chiari di luna indietro
E tu non sei leggero
Sinceramente

Sinceramente
Sinceramente
Sinceramente
Tua

Ma sono solo parole
E dopo il vuoto
Sono bagliori
Non è oro

Sinceramente quando quando quando quando piango
Anche se a volte mi nascondo
Non mi sogno di tagliarmi le vene
Sto tremando sto tremando

Sinceramente

Tua

Annalisa 'Sinceramente' lyrics in English

I wake up and only an hour has passed
I won’t fall asleep
Eight more black moons and you are the ninth
And maybe I deserve it
You want the truth
But what a truth
I’ll tell you the sincere one or the more poetic one
I feel shaken ah
But how much it hurts
How to die
But it doesn’t happen

Honestly when when when when I cry
Even if sometimes I hide
I don’t dream of cutting my wrists
I’m shaking I’m shaking
I’m taking one step forward and one step back
Under a train again
And I like it when when when when I cry
And even if the world falls
I don’t dream of dying of thirst
I’m shaking I’m shaking
I’m leaving some moonshine behind
And you are not light
Sincerely

Sincerely
Sincerely
Sincerely
Yours

Only you
You put out cigarettes on blue velvet
Let me sink in first
And then up
As soon as I recover
I’ll leave you a message
Now

Honestly when when when when I cry
Even if sometimes I hide
I don’t dream of cutting my wrists
I’m shaking I’m shaking
I’m taking one step forward and one step back
Under a train again
And I like it when when when when I cry
And even if the world falls
I don’t dream of dying of thirst
I’m shaking I’m shaking
I’m leaving some moonshine behind
And you are not light
Sincerely

Sincerely
Sincerely
Sincerely
Yours

But they are just words
And then the void
They are flashes
It’s not gold

Honestly when when when when I cry
Even if sometimes I hide
I don’t dream of cutting my wrists
I’m shaking I’m shaking
I’m taking one step forward and one step back
Under a train again
Sincerely

Sincerely
Yours
Sincerely
Yours
Sincerely
Yours

And you never understood
When when when when
When I feel bad
When when when when
You already know it’s a lot
If I send you I send I just send a message
Two words
It’s written in the ending
Sincerely

Yours
