- HAEVN is a Dutch band funded in 2015 by the film soundtrack composer Jorrit Kleijnen and singer-songwriter Marijn van der Meer, who spent 3 years sick in bed playing his guitar as a healing therapy. HAEVN said about ‘Throw me a Line‘:
This song is the result of a long development in our musical identity aiming for more depth, dynamic and uniqueness in our music. To bring this song to life we have recorded a 40-piece string orchestra together with Marijn’s vocals at the same time.
- Inspired by love songs from the 80’s and film composers, they are on a mission to transport the listener on an adventure to a different world 🌍 They are surely achieving it!
HAEVN Other Side of Sea (Symphonic Tales)
- Luckily for everyone, HAEVN have been writing songs for quite some time. They became popular in the Netherlands due to their songs Where the Heart Is and Finding Out More, which were used in two car ads. From then on, they featured in various European festivals, while releasing beautiful new songs like “Bright Lights”.
- They would finally release their debut album ‘Eyes Closed’ in 2018. A wonderful combination of film music, electro-pop and significant lyrics, which expanded their success even further. We highlight: Back in the Water, Love is a Game , The Sea and Mind Games.
- In 2019, the band joined a 50-piece orchestra to record 5 songs under Symphonic Tales title. An epic and fragile work charged with emotion. Just the way we like it 😃
- More recently, in 2020 they would release the single ‘No man’s land‘, before ‘Throw me a Line’.
